Christians in America – WAKE UP and Pray for Israel!!!

Are you praying fervently for Israel? If not then you should be.

Are you praying for an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to impact our government officials? Then you should be.

I can’t believe the naivety of this President’s administration and their liberal cohorts to be blaming Israel for the flotilla fiasco. Get “real” people, wake up and smell the coffee…these protestors were deliberately trying to instigate a reaction from the Israelis and the IDF. So they could play the poor martyr. I don’t have any sympathy for them as they knew precisely what they were doing. They wanted to increase a negative world opinion of Israel. Unfortunately we have a naive man in the White House who will listen to the poor advice from other anti-Israel members of his cabinet and staff to put pressure on Israel. Woe to him if he tries to use this situation to blackmail Israel into concessions for peace in the middle east (see WorldNetDaily’s story “Obama using flotilla fiasco to blackmail Israel?” http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=161793).

Apparently, this man – as well as several of his predecessors - has not sought out the scriptures as to who has been granted access to the land and how much of it. I’ll give you a hint, it isn’t the Palestinians. God gave the land to Israel and no human government will ever be allowed to overstep God’s rule. Oh they might for a season, but in the end God’s plan will prevail.

Please continue to pray for Israel’s protection and wisdom for their leaders. May Christians around the world, especially in the United States, continue to lift up Israel. We also need to pray and put pressure on our governing officials that they need to continue to strongly support Israel. They also need to reject a two-state solution as that will never work. The Palestinians and Muslim countries surrounding Israel want nothing less than the total destruction of the Jewish state.

Dividing the Word of God

This entry does diverge off of my normal conversation a bit, but I have to ask a question…

Why does it seem that so many Christians here in America seem to think it is okay to sit under a pastor or leadership team that consistently takes verse from the Word of God out of context?

Now that might be a broad sweeping statement and it certainly doesn’t mean every pastor/teacher is doing that by any means. It also is not to be reflective of an occasional mistake being made, which anyone can be made. I know I have done it and had to repent from those errors, but I have seen well meaning Christians sit and nod their heads like so many dashboard doggies on every word from the pulpit and apparently not studying the Word to ensure that it was divided correctly.

Is the Body of Christ in America that lazy that they do not search out the Word daily to see if what they are being told is true?

It maybe that these teachers are not even aware of what they are doing, but if they are shepherding their flock should they not be more diligent?

I am not writing this to cast a stone at these teachers as they may be well meaning teachers, but we should be praying for them that the Holy Spirit will work in their lives and help them to divide the Word clearly. If it takes longer to cover a topic then they should not rush the teaching of God’s Word.

If you know of a situation like this, begin praying for the Holy Spirit to work in their lives to help them divide the Word clearly and correctly, but also ask the Holy Spirit to give you discernment when these things are happening. If something doesn’t fell right in your spirit, then check it out, dig into God’s Word, be a Berean and see if it is true. You will be amazed at the growth in your walk. Just as we pray for the Body of Christ, our nation, and of Israel.

May God our heavenly Father direct your path and may you listen carefully to that still small voice.

Amen

Wanting to go to the Holy Lands…

If you had asked me 17 years ago if I ever wanted to go to Israel, the answer would have been a resounding “No”. Why, you may ask, since my blog is so geared towards Israel? Well, first 1994 is when I came to the Lord and a few years after that with God working on me I came to the knowledge of the importance of Israel to God. Now I am an advocate for the churches to understand that we (the church) have not replaced Israel (churches teaching a replacement theology are not just wrong and are perverting God’s Word)  in God’s plans.

So back to the point of wanting to go to the Holy Lands. It’s not just for sightseeing, but rather to get a more visual of the land God talks about in His Word. I have talked to more people that have gone and come back describing how much more their study experiences are enhanced by the trip. Since that is one of the things I enjoy doing is studying God’s Word, I want to travel to Israel and see the land that my Jesus will be reigning over upon His literal return. I know there will be differences but to be in such an awesome place is awe inspiring to me.

I have heard of several churches and teachers that take regular trips to Israel and may hook up with one of them at some point. One sad thing I just found out recently was that a teacher I admire, Chuck Missler at Koinonia House (http://www.khouse.org/), is going most likely for his final trip this year. I am praying for a way to go but if it doesn’t happen God has a better plan than I could come up with it so I leave it in the Master’s hands.

If you have been to Israel on a trip, leave me a comment on your thoughts. What you found interesting. What changed you because of your trip.

God bless.

Pray for Israel and that the world is not allowed to carve it up to create a Palestinian state.

Remember to pray for wisdom and God’s intervention that any attempt by world leaders, including plans being promoted by Barak Obama, are stopped to prevent Israeli territory being handed over to her enemies. The news agency around the world continue to call for a two state solution to end the violence and unrest in the Middle East. World leaders are trying to bully Israel into agreeing to a two state solution, but trust me it will not solve the problem.

Israel has tried land for peace in order to stop the violent attacks by terrorist groups, such as Hamas and Hezbollah, but it hasn’t. The nations around Israel – for the most part – do not recognize Israel and do not want it even to exist. But, exist she does, because of God’s covenant with His chosen people they are being brought together again in the land promised to Abraham. This has all been foretold in God’s Word.

Unfortunately, what the world doesn’t understand is that the land promised to Israel is far greater than the territory they currently occupy. The nations around Israel are no doubt aware of this as well, which is why they will always continue to push back against Israel and have the undeniable desire to end her existence.

Israel has been distrustful of Christian motives, because of the Jewish persecution at the hands of “the church” through the centuries. Now is the time to put the past behind and pray for Israel’s safety every single day. We – Jews and Christian – serve the same God and we need to understand if it wasn’t for the Jews we (Christians) would not have our Messiah. We need to continue to pray, for we know that the victory has already been won and Israel will end up occupying all of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants.

We must not become silent and sit around while world leaders use their political and economic muscle to force Israel into an agreement that we know is wrong. We are called to PRAY.

Ten Commandments continue there winning streak…

Well another win for Judeo-Christian values has occurred. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has extended the winning streak back to 2005 according to an article appearing today in World Net Daily.

Joe Worthing’s – Executive Director for the Moses Project – made a great statement regarding the ACLU…

"The ACLU is not the problem [with removing the Ten Commandments from America]," Worthing told WND. "We need to send them a thank you. They awakened a sleeping giant."

Take a look at what the Moses Project is doing. Imagine what the impact would be in America if every Christian church and family made the decision to display the Ten Commandments?
