Faithlife launches new Logos 8 across all platforms

What's new this week?

Lots going on with political candidates working hard in their last week to get out that one extra vote that will send them to the respective jobs they are vying for. For me the end of the political season means an end to huge amount of political/candidate mailers that have plagued our mail carriers, our recycling bins, etc. Not to mention the barrage on television. Will be glad to see them go.

But that's not what this post is about, it is about something far more important and exciting. What is that you may ask?

Faithlife has launched its newest release of Logos Bible software. I have been a strong support of Logos and user of their Bible software since 2004. It is truly an incredible tool in order to study God's Word and grow in your relationship with the Father. I have seen the jump in ability from Logos 3 to Logos 4 and the incremental improvements through Logos 7. But Logos 8 is a complete and total jump on its own. They have incorporated new tools to dig into scripture to learn and grow. Not only have they revamped their PC and MAC desktop versions, but they release simultaneously new versions of their Mobile apps (Android and iOS), and the web app at http://app.logos.com. All of this occurred on Monday, October 29th.

There is so much that they have improved or enhanced to make using resources from your library that the thought that Logos is a digital assistant becomes so much more apparent. Although I have been busy reviewing some of Morris Proctor's quick start videos - for those unfamiliar with Morris Proctor, he is the official Logos trainer (https://mpseminars.com) and spent only a few hours reviewing this latest update. I am increasingly excited about this latest offering from Logos.

I plan to in the weeks ahead to provide some further reviews of different aspects of Logos 8. In the meantime, click the Logos 8 link to the right to go directly to Faithlife's site and see.

Be blessed and we'll see you soon.

Arise Watchmen for Christ

Hello, I have been away for far too long. I started writing this blog in 2009 and realized my last entry was seven years ago. Sadly the times between my last entry and now have been years of turmoil and confusion. Christians are not immune to being lost in the wilderness. l will not bore anyone with the details, but suffice it to say l have been struggling. So l am asking for prayer so l can once again take my place on the wall.

2018 has brought some fresh clarity to my life. My wife and l had for some time been searching for a home church which we did right around the holidays last year. Of course when you believe God has brought you someplace, the enemy tries to throw a wrench in it. That's what happened in March. l had a major sinus infection that put me in the hospital, just as we were joining a small group at an church. Long story short we missed the entire session because of being ill and surgery. What l realized was God placed us there, because we met people there who didn't know us but were there praying for us.

lt is amazing how spiritually uplifting this can be. It has been a revitalization and renewing of my heart to grow in the Word.

Although it is not bad to enjoy things in God's world, they should not be your primary focus. One "must" invest in ones spiritual growth. It takes time and energy.

So begins a new chapter as l pick up where l left off in pursuit of God's plan. Please join me in praying for God's guidance, wisdom, and direction in the hearts and minds of believers. For the safety and preservation of Israel, Finally, that America will turn it heart and allegiance back to the Father.

In Christ - Amen
