My thoughts on the assassination of Charlie Kirk

It has been several days since the assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah, and I wasn't sure I would be writing anything about this devasting event...

First I want to lift up Erika, and their children in prayer to comfort them in this incredibly difficult time.  I can't imagine what they are going through, but pray that the Lord continues to surround them with family and friends to help carry them through the difficult days and years ahead.

There have been so many people who have been posting positive messages about Charlie and the impact he has made in speaking out the Word of God and connecting to people across America. Regardless of age, he was always engaging with people and willing to discuss and debate topics in a manner that was calm and respectful. It was a definite gift from God that Charlie was able to remain calm even when confronting people who hated and reviled him. One thing I remember in watching Charlie was the fact that even when having a conversation with someone of an opposing view, he always made sure they were able to have their say. He would shutdown dissenters of the speaker so their side could be heard.

On the flip side, the amount of disgusting and vile comments from the left has confounded me. I know there are people who disagreed with Charlie's positions, but the level of hate just goes to show you that the god of this world is still very active. It reminds me of Revelation 11:7-10:

Revelation 11:7–10 (NKJV)

The Witnesses Killed

7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

People have been dancing and celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk. It truly shows how sick the world is and is need of the "great" physician - Jesus.

As I write this the person who assassinated Charlie has been captured. Turned in by his own family once they recognized him. We still don't know the full motivation, but there has been speculation that he had been radicalized to some of the left's propaganda. We will have to wait and see what comes of it, but it does make us as Christians need to stop and not become hypocrites and begin to judge the shooter. Instead we need to be praying for him and his family as this has no doubt been devastating to them as well.

We could all speculate on the whys and be angry, but would Charlie Kirk really want that of us? The answer is a resounding "No". We need to step up in our faith and be ever more Christ-like and step out boldly in proclaiming the "Good News" and engaging the hurting world we are traveling through. There is work that needs to be done, and we must multiply and pick up the mantel of Charlie Kirk and carry on the discussion walking in the love of Christ and not compromise God's unerring Word. This is not the time to shrink back or hide. We must follow the examples provided us through Jesus and His servant Charlie Kirk.

Continue to pray for Erika, the kinds, the mission of Turning Point U.S.A., and our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world and especially for those being persecuted.

Additional Contributors Coming Soon

I am excited to announce I am presently working to add additional contributors to this blog to help continue to promote biblical views and encourage men and women of God to step up and be the Watchmen on the Wall.

To proclaim the good news, to monitor and report on the times we live in. So that as Christians we can spread the Gospel and help people understand were we are in God's timing. In doing so we must use the clock of Israel.

Land and Illegals

Well this original post was going to talk about the world's double standard regarding the immigration around the world into Europe and especially the United States due to the wide open borders perpetuated by liberal leaders. They were allowing unchecked illegal immigrants crossing the borders with dubious backgrounds (i.e. drug traffickers/dealers, terrorists, spies and dangerous gang members to name a few) from Central and South America, Middle East, Eastern Europe, and China.

There was a great deal of discussions about the massive flood of illegals coming into the United States. There some individuals and groups in the United states saying that the government should just let them in, many of these are the same ones that want to allow non-U.S. citizens the ability to vote, and receive free medical and welfare assistance without contributing to these funds. It means the the American taxpayers are footing the bill while these same individuals have to pay for their own medical and such. These liberal individuals says it is unfair for to prevent them from coming in, but these individuals are using these illegals to overthrow our Republic which is the target of the modern Democratic party.

Which seems odd in that every country has a sovereign right to protect their borders and to set standards/requirements for entry. The very same people and countries continue to attack the United States government for wanting to control our borders have rules and controls protecting their borders. Why the double standard?

This blog post was precipitated by a meme that I saw posted on Facebook and shared by a friend that just started me thinking further on the absurdity of the liberal media and liberals in general for their double standard...

The meme was of a Native American that read: "I hate to tell you this...but your all illegal aliens."

Well sadly, if the truth be told, that would mean that the Native Americans are illegals too. How can I say that...well the Native Americans (I'll call them that for easy reference) didn't just suddenly appear on the North American continent. They emigrated here from somewhere else. From where you may ask...glad you did, but I will need to lay down some basic ground rules...my view point comes from the Bible - The Word of God and Creator of the universe.

The migratory path led them from the Middle East across the world and to the East across the Bering Strait through North America down to South America.

So you can debate the extent of tribal governments power over a particular piece of land all you want. The early European settlers had government charters to settle in North America.

So liberal hypocrites if you don't believe in this legitimacy,  then let me direct your attention back to the Middle East and Israel.  The land occupied by Israel is only a fraction of the actual territory that belongs to Israel and the Jewish people. The land was given by God, the creator of the universe. One day God's promise to them will return this land to them at the time of the New Jerusalem during Jesus' millennial reign on the planet Earth.

All of the pro-Palestinian protestors have been brain-washed and have neve learned the historical facts that there are no such land/country known as P
alestine. So that means there are no such people as Palestinians. That name wasn't used until Roman's occupation of the Holy Lands, and their attempt to bury the culture and history of Israel.

As Christians, we must remember our Lord and Savior is Jewish. That God has a plan for both Israel and the Church (Christian) that are both distinct and different. We need to as Christians continue to pray for Israel and for those who are coming to know Jesus.
